Since day one of founding Market Aces out of my basement (after I dropped out of college), I have had the dream of re-inspiring the way we think about technology. I wanted to run a technology company from a marketing, design-driven perspective. While I did not know we would be as successful as we are today, I knew in my heart that great design is what makes great technology and that there was business to be made with that thought in mind.
I have lived and breathed a marketing strategy I call “Core Concept Marketing Strategy,” which drills down into “why” any given company’s product is special and inspiring, not just “what” it does or “how” it does it (“what” and “how” are boring and uninspiring).
I look back on the past several years and see the amazing clients we’ve revolutionized and the millions of people we’ve reached with our materials. And I think, wow, that’s pretty damn cool.
What I see is that my vision has grown beyond my reach and so has my company. That’s good, that’s what I wanted.
And, today, I make a major announcement that will surely grow my vision further.
I am proud to announce Jacqueline Silseth as the new CEO of Market Aces.
Jackie has been instrumental in all the late nights, marketing strategy sessions, project management, and all the other craziness it takes to run a creative technology & marketing firm. I could not ask for a better person to not just take my place, but also take the company to new heights.
Watch out, Jackie is going to really take Market Aces to the next level.
You may be asking, but Jared, what will you do? Valid question.
My answer: I’m crazy. I can’t stop with just one business and I’m moving on to start other ventures.
While I will still maintain my Chairman of the Board position and my role as a chief visionary, I am moving into product focused technology ventures. I’m keeping a tight-lid on what some of those ventures are, but as soon as I am ready, you can be certain I will update everyone.
This does not mark the end of my involvement with Market Aces but, rather, starts the beginning of me leaving a legacy. I built the company I one day dreamed of owning and now I pass on the torch and leave a legacy to a leader who will only grow and expand that vision.
As one of my early mentors once told me, “there is a direct correlation between hard work and success.” What I have found is that statement is pretty true and, in that case, I bestow the role of CEO in more than capable hands.
Congratulations Jackie, I cannot wait to see you grow Market Aces from here.
